The Synthesis Altar can be accessed by tapping the icon of the same name, located next to the Command Post, starting at Legion Level 3.

To "Combine" and form a powerful Hero at the Synthesis Altar, you must have the necessary Synthesis material Heroes, which can be identified within the Altar.
